Activities & Excursions
The Rigi offers countless possibilities: hiking (over 100 km of hiking trails), mountain biking, sledding in winter, snowshoeing, paragliding, visiting the Rigi-Kulm (1,797 m), watching sunrise and sunset.
We organize guided hikes with local mountain guides on request. Sunrise hikes to Rigi-Kulm are also very popular. Please inquire in advance.
Yes! The Rigi is ideal for families: children's hiking trails, playgrounds, Rigi Railway rides, animal observations (marmots, deer), and in winter, sledding and building snowmen.
We can provide you with contacts to local rental stations. The rental station is located directly to the left next to Rigi Kaltbad First train station.
Services & Amenities
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and common areas. The Bergsonne Rigi is also a popular co-working location.
Yes, in exceptional cases we offer a laundry service. Please speak to the reception.
Yes, you can store your luggage with us on the day of arrival or departure.
The reception is open during the day. For emergencies outside opening hours, there is an emergency number that will be provided to you upon check-in.
Food & Drinks
The breakfast buffet is open daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM in summer. In the winter months, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In a few cases, breakfast may only be available from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Yes, we always offer vegetarian and, upon request, vegan options – both for breakfast and dinner. For vegan options, please inform us in advance.
Please inform us of any allergies or intolerances when booking or at the latest upon check-in. We will gladly adapt our offerings.
Children & Pets
Yes, children up to 11 years old can either sleep in their parents' bed free of charge or order an extra bed (+50 CHF). Children over 12 must sleep in an extra bed (+75 CHF). Please specify when booking.
Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. In exceptional cases, we allow dogs under the table in the Walliserstube.
There is a small play area on the premises. The Rigi itself offers countless opportunities for children — hiking trails, observing animals, and sledding in winter.
