BEFORE ARRIVAL

From Lucerne with the Rigi Railway (cogwheel train) to Rigi-Kaltbad (approx. 45 min.). The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Rigi-Kaltbad station. Alternatively, from Arth-Goldau with the Rigi Railway to Rigi-Kaltbad. If you are coming from Lucerne, we recommend traveling by boat to Vitznau. The SBB timetable shows that the fastest journey is via Weggis. In Vitznau, however, the train station is only 50m next to the pier, in Weggis it is 1100m on foot to the valley station.

The Rigi Railway runs hourly, more frequently during peak season. Current timetables can be found on sbb.ch or rigi.ch. The cable car always runs at xx.10 and xx.40.

Yes, SBB offers a luggage transport service. Your luggage will be delivered directly from the station to your home or hotel. Details on sbb.ch.

In Rigi Kaltbad, there is the Rigi Blitz-Taxi in snow-free conditions. Please call 076 208 84 34 to arrange transport. However, the hotel is only 350m slightly above the station.

The hotel is not directly accessible by car, as Rigi-Kaltbad is car-free. You can park your car in Weggis or Vitznau and then travel by Rigi Railway.

In Weggis, the parking lot is at Rigistrasse 73, in Vitznau, parking lot 2 is at Bahnhofstrasse 7, parking lot 1 is a little further back on the left side. The daily rate is 12 CHF per 24h. We recommend leaving the car in Weggis. Attention: In March and November, the cable car is under revision for 2 weeks each. Please check the timetable carefully.

As Rigi-Kaltbad is car-free, there are no parking spaces directly at the hotel. However, for deliveries and special needs, there is an exception — please contact us.

Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out until 11:00 AM. Earlier check-in or later check-out is possible subject to availability — please inquire in advance.

Yes, late check-in is possible. Please inform us if you arrive after 7:00 PM so we can make all necessary arrangements.

The weather on the Rigi can change quickly. Recommended: hiking boots, weatherproof jacket, sunscreen, and sunglasses. In winter: warm clothing and snowshoes.
